Always Sunny Studios was created from a love of content, nostalgia and storytelling.
Founded by Emily, a British content producer with over 12 years of experience in the creative industry, the studio brings a hybrid content approach to weddings in Portugal. Offering iPhone content creation, analogue formats such as Super8 and Handycam, and drone capabilites, to capture your day in the best possible light. Truly bespoke to your needs.
The focus is simple. Capturing how it felt, not how it was staged.

Meet Emily
Founder, Always Sunny Studios
Hi! I’m Emily, a content creator, producer and storyteller originally from England but have called sunny Lisbon home since 2023.
With over 12 years of experience in the creative industry, I’ve worked across content production, social media and brand storytelling for some of the biggest businesses in beauty, wellness and lifestyle, from Clinique to Tresemme. Alongside that, I’ve always had a huge curiosity for content, particularly, analogue cameras. Since I picked up my Sony Handycam again a few years ago, it’s become part of my signature offering. Raw, real and nostalgic. For moments you always want to come back to. It’s the same sensibility that people connect with through emmygoesplaces, now brought into weddings.
That background naturally shapes how I approach weddings: instinctively, unobtrusively, and with a strong sense of narrative. I’m not interested in perfect shots. I’m more interested in storytelling, capturing the real and behind-the-scenes moments as they unfold, without turning the day into a performance.
Always Sunny Studios exists to turn those moments into something you keep forever, something warm, lived-in and feels like home.
Meet Mauro
2nd Shooter & Drone Pilot
Mauro is our Portuguese native on the team. He supports as a second shooter and drone pilot, helping to capture every aspect of the day.
Born and raised in Portugal, he brings a calm, instinctive presence and a strong understanding of place, from light and landscape to the natural flow of a wedding day. His role allows us to document events from multiple perspectives, ensuring the story is captured fully and thoughtfully.
Working alongside Emily, Mauro moves confidently through the day, communicating clearly with couples, guests, and vendors to keep everything running smoothly. His creative eye, strong communication, and steady approach allow him to capture alternative angles, aerial views, and moments beyond the primary frame.
Together, we work as a considered team, in-synch, collaborative, and focused on capturing the day as it truly felt.
